Write a Diary Entry, dated 10 Years in the Future... Writing Prompt Day 4...
This year, one of my goals is to share a bit of my life every day through the writing prompts in a book my children bought me for Christmas. I plan to use these writing prompts to warm up my brain in the mornings and increase my writing speed. Fingers crossed. I would love for you to join me by sharing your thoughts each day in the comments. Or, if you aren't comfortable sharing publicly, you can email me at Danagwrites@gmail.com.
Write a diary entry dated 10 years in the future...
Dear Diary, 02/04/2031
Ten years ago, my life was turned upside down. The courts forced Mini-Monster to attend school in PA. Granny June Bug passed away. They said it was COVID-19 related, but we know the truth. Triple-negative breast cancer at 90 years old is a bitch. The worst part is she'd complained for years about a sore on her breast, and they kept telling her it was "a bug bite."
That first month after Mini-Monster was gone was strange. So many days spent in bed, afraid to be in a house without her. Then panicking when I realized her scent had faded from my blankets where she and I spent time the last month she was with me cuddling and watching Apple TV.
With more time on your hands, you were able to focus on your author's business. I'm glad you stuck it out, and I hope that you are proud of your life when you look back on the last ten years.
I hope you are making enough money to live comfortably in a cabin in the woods. I hope you are happy and living your best life.
Keep writing, Ava Fox!
Now you write a diary entry dated 10 years in the future.
